Miami Shores Buzz: What's Trending Now

Miami Shores Village, FL Community

Skip the grocery store chaos and let someone else handle the turkey this year. Miami Shores and the surrounding area are rolling out the red carpet for Thanksgiving 2025, whether you want a fancy sit-down meal, a stress-free takeout feast, or a chance to give back to your community. From country club buffets to family-style spreads, here’s where to find your perfect holiday meal without spending hours in the kitchen.

Where to Dine In

Looking to enjoy Thanksgiving without lifting a spatula? Miami Shores Country Club is serving up a traditional buffet on November 27 from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM, with all the classics you crave. Adults pay $64.95, and kids 10 and under eat for $32.48, making it an affordable option for the whole family. Just remember to call (305) 795-2360 ahead of time because seats fill up fast.

If you’re willing to venture a bit further, the Rusty Pelican on Key Biscayne offers waterfront views alongside your turkey and stuffing. Nothing says gratitude like watching the sunset over Biscayne Bay while someone else does the dishes. Over at Fontainebleau Miami Beach, you can choose between a lunch buffet at Vida with a raw bar and carving stations for $110 per adult, or chef-curated dinners at Mirabella ($85) and Prime 54. The options range from family-style feasts to upscale steakhouse experiences.

For a Latin twist on the holiday, Rosa Negra brings bold flavors and a festive atmosphere to your Thanksgiving table. Meanwhile, spots like Donna Mare in Miami Beach offer a three-course prix-fixe menu for $79 per adult, featuring slow-roasted organic turkey with Italian sausage and truffle stuffing.

Takeout That Saves the Day

Not everyone wants to leave home on Thanksgiving, but that doesn’t mean you have to cook. Blue Collar in the MiMo neighborhood offers a complete dinner for $479, serving 10 to 14 guests. Their package includes a whole brined turkey with gravy, shrimp and grits, brioche stuffing, and all the sides your heart desires.

Whisk in South Miami has a Southern comfort package for $425 that serves 8 to 10 people, complete with oven-roasted herbed turkey breast, bourbon apple butter injection, and all the fixings. Meanwhile, Macchialina and Bar Bucce are offering an “Everything but the Turkey” spread for $250 that feeds 4 to 6 guests. Think creamy Parmigiana polenta, lasagna Genovese with short rib, and roasted mushrooms with guanciale. You can even add wine pairings for an extra touch.

True Loaf Bakery on South Beach specializes in the sweet stuff, with Dutch apple, pecan, and pumpkin pies, as well as dinner rolls, available for pickup on November 26 or 27. Pickup happens on Wednesday or Thursday, so plan accordingly.

Community Meals That Matter

Thanksgiving is also about giving back. Branches distributes thousands of meals to families across Miami-Dade and Broward counties on Thanksgiving Day. Whether you need a meal or want to volunteer, this community program makes the holiday accessible to everyone.

The Way Miami hosts a Thanksgiving bash with free turkeys, grocery boxes, and kids’ activities at 251 NW 62nd Street. It’s a chance to celebrate together and support neighbors who might be struggling.

Book Early or Miss Out

Here’s the most important tip of all: reserve your spot now. Restaurants fill up weeks in advance, and popular takeout packages sell out faster than you can say “pass the gravy”. Whether you’re calling Miami Shores Country Club at (305) 795-2360 or ordering online from your favorite spot, don’t wait until the week of Thanksgiving. Many restaurants require orders by November 26, so get moving.

This year, trade the apron for a reservation and enjoy Thanksgiving the easy way. Your family will thank you, and your kitchen will stay spotless.
